Importing a Complete Korean Warehouse Facility to Power Queensland’s Infrastructure Expansion

Challenge

International Cargo Express was tasked with importing an entire warehouse facility from East Asia, to support one of Queensland’s major public infrastructure projects. This ambitious operation involves multiple shipments scheduled across 2025, each requiring the careful coordination of specialised equipment sourced globally and delivered seamlessly to site.

The initial shipment included 39 individual units comprising a diverse range of critical equipment such as:

• Machinery, metal moulding panels
• Machine parts, fences, and tanks
• Condensers, welders, and more

In total, the shipment weighed 109,783 kg and measured 830.380m³!

Coordinating the safe discharge, storage, inspection, and final delivery of such a large and complex load required precision logistics, clear communication, and end-to-end project management.

Solution

ICE managed the entire process from arrival to delivery:

• The cargo was discharged from the vessel at the Port of Brisbane using MAFI trailers and stored securely at the wharf.
• ICE arranged thorough inspections of all packages, confirming no anomalies were present.
• We coordinated final transport from Brisbane to Queensland regional area, ensuring all 39 units were delivered on time and in perfect condition.

This successful delivery provided critical equipment for the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Queensland, helping to keep the project progressing smoothly and on schedule.
