ICE & Doctors Without Borders: Shipping Equipment for the Charity’s 50th Anniversary

ICE facilitated a shipment for global medical charity Doctors Without Borders to celebrate 50 years of providing life-saving medical care.

Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is a non-profit organisation that delivers humanitarian medical services to aid people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare.

In 2022, the charity celebrated its 50-year milestone by holding a photo exhibition event in Auckland, New Zealand. It showcased photos of the organisation’s work in action over the past half a century.

The event was called “50 Years of Humanity: 50 Years of MSF”.

ICE helped facilitate the shipment of one pallet of lightboxes for the event.

We arranged for the lighting to be air freighted from Sydney to Auckland and stored at one of our facilities, before organising a tail lift truck to deliver the pallet to the Aotea Centre.

After the Auckland event, ICE then helped re-export the lighting back to Australia via sea freight and deliver it to the Sydney venue, where Doctors Without Borders held another event to showcase the photography exhibiting their life-saving work.

ICE also took the opportunity to donate $4,000 to this noble institution.
