Storage With Peace of Mind
ICE operates warehouses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, located next to our own office premises. We handle a variety of cargo, including palletised, cartons and bulkier items.
Our Sydney and Melbourne warehouses are also approved for bonded cargo, meaning your goods can legally be stored at our premises while waiting for customs clearance. This means lower costs for your underbond cargo and more convenience for you. We also arrange bonded transport to our premises.
For long-term storage and packing, we can arrange specialised 3PL services that meet your budget and cargo requirements.

What are the key things I need to know before I receive my container?
- Tell us the way you would like the doors on your container facing for unpack at your site.
- If you booked a sideloader to deliver your container, keep in mind that these trucks swing to the right only. Does the driver need to drive in or reverse in? Ensure the container is placed on the correct side of your premises by providing clear instructions or a site map.
- How many containers you can fit in the yard (if more than one is to be delivered), let us know so we can plan an efficient delivery.
- Inform us of the main contact on site. Full name and contact number of the responsible receiving party.
- Are there any special delivery hours or gate instructions?
- Is there more than one site for delivery? Let us know all your delivery addresses. It is mandatory that we report the correct final delivery address as part of the customs entry declared to Australian Border Force.
- Finally, let us know your feedback! If we can do anything better, please tell our team so we can ensure you continue to receive the service we aspire to.
Can you coordinate Local, Regional, and National Delivery?
Yes! Via Road, Rail, Coastal, Air, Courier or a combination of these. Our experienced cartage team can suggest the best route and shipping method for your cargo. We arrange the entire delivery process and keep you updated on every key step of the way. ICE is known for its excellence in customer service and strong communication.
Can you handle Out of Gauge / heavy weight cargo?
Yes! We have a range of service provider options that allow us to handle oversized or overweight cargo, as well as experience in managing the process.
Whether you are transporting machinery, heavy parts or big boxes, we can organise special equipment, permits, deliveries straight off the vessel without hitting the ground, or after hours arrangements.
What are the guidelines for packing cargo?
We have three comprehensive guides outlining how to pack your cargo correctly:
Packing Cargo for Air Freight: How to Prepare Your Shipment
Packing Cargo for Sea Freight: How to Prepare Your Shipment
Break Bulk Packing: How to Prepare Your Shipment
We can also arrange specialised packing at our own premises or at our specialist partners if this is required for your type of cargo.
Can I leave my goods at the port until I am ready for pick up?
Once your goods arrive, the wharf or airport will only hold your shipment on-site for free for around 3 days. If your goods need to be held longer than this you could run into storage charges. Storage at the wharf or airport is extremely expensive, ranging from $250 – $500 per day for a standard 20ft container or $0.48/Kilo a day for air freight. Hence, it should be avoided where possible.
By being prepared and providing our staff with commercial documents in advance of a shipment’s arrival, we can arrange storage on your behalf and help reduce wharf/airport storage costs.
What is Consolidation/Deconsolidation?
Do you have two or more consignments from different suppliers in the same country? We can arrange consolidation of the consignments into one shipment for import or export.
Shipping via airfreight? We can arrange consolidation packing so your cargo is safely combined with other cargo at the airport of origin.
